I am OBSESSED with the magical power of art! I have loved painting, drawing and creating, my entire life, when other kids were watching Saturday morning cartoons I was glued to Bob Ross.
Any opportunity I had to create I took, but when it was time to “grow up” I was told that art is not a real job and so I followed the rules (kind of) and started a career designing spaces for corporations and educational institutions throughout New England.
For over 20 years I stuffed the desire to be an artist away and when my daughter suggested I paint with her during the early days of the Covid Pandemic, pandora’s box was opened! The feeling of a paintbrush in my hands set a spark in me ablaze and there was no extinguishing it.
The experience of creating art again after all that time reminded me of why art is so amazing. It brought me connection to my children, peace and calm on tough days, and new found creativity in all aspects of my life.
So, I got to work. I taught myself how to use the beautiful medium of watercolor to bring peace, calm and joy to my life. I didn’t stop there, I then studied and became a certified Art Therapist so I can use the power of art to connect you to your people even more and propel us forward in a positive way, releasing what might be holding you back.
Recognizing a profound duty to share this with the world, I founded Art Experienced. This combines my love for connecting people, creating art, and art therapy. Art Experienced is all about the transformative power of art, fostering community, healing, and self-discovery. I’m excited to invite you on this journey to explore the magic of art together!
